FOUR DAYS OF VIRTUAL MASTER CLASSES, PRESENTATIONS, AND CONVERSATIONS WITH THE FLUTISTS OF EMISSARY QUARTET!
WELCOME!
If you are a high school age flutist (incoming freshman and graduated seniors included) we want to welcome you into the EQ Flute Intensive! We will be covering everything from piccolo to performance anxiety, so if you want to expand your knowledge of the flute and meet flutists from around the country, this is for you!
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE INTENSIVE:
Virtual Master Classes:

6 hours of total class time

Each participant plays two times (two different pieces of repertoire)
Presentations (1 hour each) on:

Managing Performance Anxiety with Dr. Chelsea Tanner: Learn how to manage stage fright and nervousness before a performance!

Piccolo Introduction and Fundamentals Class with Colleen McElroy: Learn the basics of piccolo playing!

How to Achieve Your Best Sound with Dr. Sarah Shin: Learn to achieve your best sound!

Fused: Pop Ideas + Classical Sounds with Dr. Meghan Bennett: In this lecture/discussion we examine the world of pop artists and their music, analyzing the ways in which popular music culture can influence our work as classical artists.
A 30-minute private lesson with a member of EQ
Fun evening activities include flute trivia night and social hour!
We want to create a small class size so we are limiting enrollment to 12 participants. Students will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
Sample Daily Schedule: (All classes listed in eastern time)
1:00-2:00pm Presentation: Managing Performance Anxiety with Dr. Chelsea Tanner
2:15-3:45pm Master Class #1
3:45-4:15pm Snack/Lunch break
4:15-5:15pm Conversation with EQ: Audition Preparation
5:30-6:30pm Meet & Greet Ice-breakers

FAQ's
Q: What if I can't make one of the classes as a participant or an auditor?
A: If you are a participant, you are required to be present for all classes in which you are performing. All classes will be recorded and uploaded to a course portal you will have access to upon registration.

Q: As an auditor, will I be able to watch the classes later if I can't make it?
A: Yes, you'll have access to all class recordings.
